Psychosocial Recovery Coach
A Psychosocial Recovery Coach has a distinct role within the NDIS, supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities to work toward their recovery goals and enhance their overall wellbeing. They partner with participants to create tailored recovery plans that reflect individual needs, strengths, and aspirations.
Through one-on-one coaching, they use evidence-based strategies to build self-management skills, resilience, and effective coping techniques. They also help participants navigate the mental health system, connect with appropriate services, and engage with community supports.
In addition, Psychosocial Recovery Coaches provide practical support with everyday tasks, goal setting, and problem-solving. Their focus is on empowering participants to take greater control of their lives and participate in meaningful activities and roles within their community.
